Substance Use Services

Substance use services are designed to help individuals who are struggling with substance use disorders (SUDs), including alcohol and drug addiction. These services can include a variety of treatments and support options, such as:

  • Assessment and Evaluation: Initial assessments to determine the severity of the substance use disorder and to develop a personalized treatment plan.
  • Detoxification (Detox): Medical supervision to safely manage withdrawal symptoms when stopping substance use.
  • Inpatient Rehabilitation: Residential programs that provide intensive treatment and support in a structured environment.
  • Outpatient Treatment: Programs that allow individuals to receive treatment while living at home, including individual and group therapy sessions.
  • Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT): Use of medications, in combination with counseling and behavioral therapies, to treat substance use disorders.
  • Counseling and Therapy: Individual, group, and family therapy sessions to address the psychological aspects of addiction.
  • Support Groups: Peer support groups, such as Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) and Narcotics Anonymous (NA), that provide ongoing support and encouragement.
  • Aftercare and Relapse Prevention: Ongoing support and resources to help individuals maintain sobriety and prevent relapse after completing a treatment program.

These services are often provided by a combination of healthcare professionals, including doctors, nurses, therapists, and counselors. They aim to address the physical, psychological, and social aspects of addiction to help individuals achieve and maintain recovery.
