Laryah is the Youth and Youth Adult (YAYA) Coordinator at Youth MOVE PA under the Healthy Transitions Grant of Luzerne-Wyoming Counties. She completed the Social Work Program at Bloomsburg University, earning her BSW in 2019. Applying her experience, she worked with at-risk adolescents in a residential setting. Through her journey, she recognized a lack of autonomy and resources for youth, highlighting the necessity for positive change for service recipients and their families. Moreover, Laryah provided home health assistance, supporting individuals in independent living. Dealing with personal challenges like anxiety and observing loved one's struggle with substance use and mental health challenges, she feels compelled to support others and advocate for recovery. In her leisure time, she enjoys singing and engaging in craft activities.
